Trend Roundup- Best Picks from Rochas Spring/Summer 2015
Talk of the Nina Ricci Spring Summer 2015, and there is no way to escape the love for soft and silky fabrics, amazing colours and some great accessories. While doing our spring summer roundups, we found that there was nothing about what Nina Ricci had to say for the season. With some amazing spotting, here’s what you need to about the collection with some great tips, ideas and guide on owning the trends in your closet.
Amazing array of colours
Strangely, many of the designers haven’t focused on one colour for Spring 2015. Instead we had some great mix of colours, and the trend continued at Nina Ricci. Here, the colours were varied like chalk and cheese, but we loved the way the colours made a pop appearance. So, we had some great flame colours, yellow and caramel brown. Seriously engaging and happening, the palette of colours offered something or the other for every single closet. While you may go pop up like D Squared, or pick a balance like here.
The coming of Houndstooth embroidery
For those who look for detailing and the work on fabrics, Houndstooth is the favour of the season says Nina Ricci. We saw the design come back in subtle colour combinations for complete dresses and skirts. The designs are essentially simple and it let the design do all the talking, instead of too much of detailing. Match the print for the handbag, and you can carry off one of these dresses to work with ease. What about colour mixes in the pattern? We believe intricacy and subtlety should work better, but again, many will experiment with the embroidery for sure.
The return of pencil dresses
Nina Ricci knows the ways to surprise the viewers, so we had the pencil dresses back on the runways, only with more flavour and twist for the season. Look for the amazing crumpled detailing or the addition of little asymmetrical detailing to the look, and you will love the smart appeal. This is something you would want for a day when delicate but sharp style is your forte. The silk worked extremely well for the entire look, and so did the colour, which gave the crumbled element a soft boost of love.
Style more with oversized pearl earrings
This is our editor’s pick from Nina Ricci Spring Summer 2015. That large and oversized train of dual pearls was like a statement that we always wanted in the summer accessories. What you will notice at the first glance is the size of the pearls, which is larger than most other designs you have spotted on the runways. In summer this year, we saw pearl coming to the runways in chokers that were seen at Chanel and soon copied everywhere else. This time, the pearls in earrings made for an even stronger statement, and you don’t need a reason to wear a pair, no matter whatever you are wearing.
