The Worst Dressed Celebs at Met Gala 2015
We have already seen the best dressed at the Met Gala 2015, and now it’s time to go back to the celebs who managed to make a few mistakes. Here is a close take on the worst dressed celebs at the event and with ideas on what made them look so unique…. Err… wrong!
Kris Jenner: The Balmain dress on Kris Jenner looked just out of place, and the overall makeup and style was just beyond even what can be considered half decent on the red carpet. The accessories, including the badly chosen pair of shoes and those big earrings were just total mismatch and clashed with the slighter better but badly fitting gown. The lesson to learn- Minimal is often better appreciated.
Katy Perry: Katy Perry is always known to experiment in more ways than one, but the Met Gala was a big miss. The Moschino dress had a lot of colours, but the overall look was too eye-catching in a bad way. For Perry, we certainly expect a lot better, at least with the basic choices. The lesson to learn– Don’t get carried away with your celebs- They too can make big mistakes.
Olivia Wilde: Another celebrity who never misses to hit the right notes on special events was at miss this time. While Olivia Wilde looks stunning neck-up, her pink dress is among the shoddiest choices for the evening. Odd enough was the pairing for those long gloves, which looked more out of place. The lesson to learn– Choose your colours wisely and you will never miss pairing again.
Chloe Grace Moretz: The “Carrie” actress usually looks pretty, and this time too she managed to impress one and all with her simple makeup. What didn’t work is the choice of dress, which was too simple for the event, and the odd accessories, especially that choker, were even more unflattering. We wished she did a little more innovation to come up with something more worth the Met Gala. The lesson to learn– Play more creative with special times!
Elizabeth Banks: Another director on the red carpet, but yet another miss! Elizabeth Banks seems to have missed on the theme, and the colour of the blue down didn’t just go with the event at all! While her dress had all the right kind of elements, there wasn’t much to be appreciated, given that Met Gala always is about expressing style in new ways within the theme. The lesson to learn– Never miss on party codes.
Alicia Keys: Alicia Keys doesn’t always miss the look and theme, but this time, the singer came up with tulle creation by Jean Paul Gaultier, which was not in place. Some more innovation with the colour was much desired, and the blue and white matching was just too confusing. Brownie points for the hair and makeup, which seemed to be done with great love, but that dress ruined it all. The lesson to learn– sticking to the basics helps!
Don’t make the same misses as these celebs. Happy styling!
