The Freshest Trends from Fall 2017 Collections – Part 1
Finally, after writing so many posts on spring fashion and trends, we are back to the fall. The coveted fall fashion weeks ended a few weeks back, and we are here to talk about the most amazing things of the season. We will cover everything you need to know about fall style, right from the runway trends to the shoes and handbags. We are starting our series with the best clothing trends from fall 2017. Regardless of whether you follow the runway or not, these ideas will inspire you to shop more. Without much ado, let’s get started with fall 2017 trends.
Back with plaids: We cannot seem to have enough of checks and plaids. After a summery-coloured fall last year, designers have gone back to the basics. Plaid designs have been used extensively in most collections, focusing the use of different colours and styles. From pantsuits to overcoats, the idea made a splash on the runways. At Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Calvin Klein, the trend was very subtle, while top names like Louis Vuitton and Chanel worked with a mix of colours. If you like your fall clothing to be simple yet effective, this is one trend you should certainly try. We recommend getting a tailored suit for your closet, with focus on accenting your curves in a subtle way.
More of floral: We are used to associating floral prints with spring and summer. Naturally, the fall floral prints were a refreshing change in many ways. While some of the looks were more inclined to the fall colours, others were bright out loud – making a clear statement that subtlety is not what you need for the season. Some of the top designers you must check for this trend include Gucci, Marni, Balenciaga and Valentino. If you take a close look at the motifs, you will realize that the prints had a boho yet feminine vibe, making them ideal for any season. Some labels like Simone Rocha and Erdem worked with smaller floral motifs, which were quite reminiscent of a similar trend we spotted for spring a couple of years back.
Love for denim: Denim is an ideal choice for the fall – It’s comfortable, easy and very casual. Fall 2017 collections had a lot of denim and it surely makes an instant impression. Calvin Klein, Dior and Marc Jacobs worked with full denim looks, while others like Versace worked with appliqués on the fabric. You will also find quite a few options in shows of Y Project and Public School. The idea is to mix and match different denim colours, but you can choose a singular shade, as well. The good thing is you will find quite a few denim options online for affordable prices, making this quite an affordable trend for the season.
