The “Best of Spring” – The Best Jewellery Trends From Spring 2017 Collections – Part 7

We started off the “Best of Spring” series some time back, and we are extremely happy with the response so far. The team of this blog always wants to make fashion more accessible for one and all, and we do everything possible to make things happen. Taking the series ahead, we are now at a stage, where we can talk about the accessories. The next posts will be all about jewellery trends from spring 2017 collections. If you are someone who loves statement earrings and chunky bracelets, this one is just for you!

Statement Necklace is back

Statement Necklace is back: For the last few seasons, we have been obsessing with the choker, which started off in a sparkling way in Spring 2014. Since then, chokers have inspired designers to try new ideas in the most amazing ways. Thankfully, we are back to statement pieces for the spring again. A lot of designers and higher end brands, including Givenchy, Etro, Prada and Chanel, have worked with statement pieces, and none of the designs match each other in terms of look or symmetry. Experimenting is going to be a major highlight this season it seems.

Futuristic earrings

Futuristic earrings; Just like statement neckpieces, a lot of designers also worked with the statement earrings. However, the looks and sizes were anything ordinary. Top names like Missoni, Emporio Armani, Loewe, and Proenza Schouler had futuristic designs, which were all about experimenting with shapes and forms. If you like the idea of being ‘over the top’ with your accessories, this is one trend that wouldn’t fail you at all. The good thing is you will find some amazingly similar but cheaper options on the leading shopping sites, or even better, you can choose to create a DIY project for the weekend.

Stoned up

Stoned up: Stones were one of the major highlights of spring runways, and it wasn’t about the diamonds and precious stones. Most designers like Paco Rabanne, Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Stella McCartney worked with the concept of raw and uncut stones, which have this stocky feeling that’s extremely edgy considering the season. Right from earrings to neckpieces, there were a lot of ideas, and we are totally digging the idea. In fact, this is one of the most unique trends of the season so far!

Cuffed up

Cuffed up: Hand cuffs for the season were all about asymmetry and chunks. You will see a lot of such cuffs at spring 2017 shows of Balmain, Roberto Cavalli, Loewe, and Courrèges among others. These were all statement pieces that worked big time for most looks. Some designers added it to more sporty looks, whereas other used them as standalone accessories. Never the less, the idea is too tempting for a quick try. Just make sure that you don’t mix and match too many things as most of the trends on this list are attention seekers in many ways, and a little over the top can be confusing.

Keep an eye on this post for more, and we will be more than happy to present the next in this series.
