The “Best of Spring” Series – More Spring 2017 Trends – Part 2
In our very last post, we sparked off our “Best of Spring” series, where we talked of the best spring trends in shoes. We had discussed the love for kitten heels, flatforms and ankle straps and some amazing ideas to shop and style these trends. In this post, we will talk of some more trends for the season, exclusively for the ladies who cannot have enough of shoes. Let’s get started!
Platforms: Just like flatforms, platforms too made a comeback to the spring runways, and this time, many top names like Marc Jacobs, Erdem, Proenza Schouler, Miu Miu and Dolce & Gabbana played with the trend in unique ways. Some of the designs were over the top, with extreme use of colours and shades, while others were more about embellishments and hardware. Whatever it takes, don’t miss this trend because you don’t need a fortune to try the idea. There are many online stores, where you will find platforms at very low prices, and if you check these collections mentioned, you can steal a few ideas.
Stilettos: We all love stilettos. Nothing beats that long heel, and this time in spring, designers went a little ahead and worked with extreme thin heels that made an instant statement. Gucci, Nina Ricci, and Altuzarra are some of the leading names that worked with this trend. Of course, you have to be extra careful about choosing the right pair, because comfort is going to be the key to sporting this trend. If there has to be one pair of expensive shoes in your closet this spring, this trend surely demands attention. Alternatively, you can choose a pair of heels from the local that matches the closest, although it’s unlikely that you will find something similar.
Branding: Who doesn’t want to show off a pair of high brand shoes? Well, more often than not, many don’t even know what you are wearing, but this time in spring, you can say it loud. Many designers, including Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Jeremy Scott, worked with their initials and names to give more individualistic texture to the shoes. These are shoes that tell about the passion you share for a brand, so that the world knows about it. This one is an expensive trend, but you will never regret buying these pairs. Make sure that you check online to find discounted shoes from leading brands.
Laced up: Finally, we are down to one more trend that’s like a classic for every season. Laced up shoes are great for adding a sportier yet feminine element to any look, and you can try a lot of looks that were spotted at Erdem, Michael Kors, House of Holland, Versace, and J.W. Anderson. This trend doesn’t need a lot of thinking and works best when teamed with summer skirts and dresses. Just make sure that you buy two pairs this time – One that’s feminine and in print, and the other in a solid colour.
Look out for part 3 next!
