The Best Looks at the Cannes Red Carpet 2013
Cannes is not just a mere celebration of cinema but is equally about style at the red carpet. We bring you most interesting and outstanding appearances at the Cannes red carpet and why these celebs deserved a mention.
Nicole Kidman in Giorgio Armani:
She was the leader at the red carpet and was a part of the prestigious jury headed by Steven Spielberg. Her Giorgio Armani gown was a total runway hit that choose to wear on the closing ceremony. The Swarovski crystal detail around the waist area and the V neck design of the dress was just perfect, and she completed the look with Harry Winston jewels. Stunning and gorgeous, those bright lips were to die for.
Zhang Ziyi in Christian Dior:
This lady chose a Christian Dior Couture dress for the premiere of Zulu and looked totally mesmerising. The high slit of the dress looked fabulous on here, and for shoes, she opted for Christian Louboutin. Overall a breezy look for the red carpet, the dress was a warm welcome from regular heavy dresses and gowns we see at the red carpet time and often.
Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace:
Whenever she appears on the red carpet, people take notice of her, thanks to that affluent attitude. Uma Thurman chose an Atelier Versace gown, much in the metallic style with the tail on. Her hair was done neatly in an up-do style and she chose to wear stylish matching bracelets on both hands and dangler earrings. Unconventional and likeable, she looked superb in every meaning of the word.
Vidya Balan in Sabyasachi:
Known for her Indian attire, actress and jury member Vidya Balan made a statement in a Sabyasachi Ghosh sari for Jury Photocall at Cannes. Steering ahead of many of her peers, she chose to wear a sari in white combined with embroidered blouse in heavy golden work. With large studs and beaded necklace, she clearly was comfortable in her attitude.
Bérénice Bejo in Elie Saab:
This beautiful lady chose to wear an Elie Saab dress in mid length style combined with a matching pair of heels in the same shade. With burgundy lipstick and embellished clutch, she looked ravishing. We love the colour of the dress that is steer clear of red, white and black that is often preferred by many celebs for the red carpet. Purely divine!
Bianca Balti in Dolce & Gabbana:
This eye-catching and gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana dress looked ravishing on Bianca Balti, who chose to wear a top and pant underneath the dress. With matching jewellery and hair up-do, she looked excellent.
Sonam Kapoor in Dolce and Gabbana:
Indian actress and L’Oreal brand ambassador Sonam Kapoor made an appearance for the Jeune & Jolie Screening in a Dolce and Gabbana Gown. The dress was girly and conventionally done, but the design had something fresh in terms of colours. She complemented the look with Sunita Kapoor necklace and matching shoes with her hair on one side. Simple and dramatic at the same time!Tags: cannes film festival 2013, cannes red carpet
