The Best Dressed at the Oscars 2016 – Part 1
We know we were covering the London Fashion Week in the last post, and we will come back to it in the next post, but with the Academy Awards 2016 Evening, how can we miss the red carpet looks. We know how much you were waiting to see your favourite celebs on the red carpet, and in this post, we will talk of the best looks. Of course, we will cover more as we go, but here’s a list you wouldn’t want to miss.
Charlize Theron in Christian Dior: Riveting is an understatement for Charlize Theron! The Mad Max star was a vision as she walked in that Christian Dior red gown with the most perfect diamond pendant! If you thought red wasn’t the colour for you, this lady can surely teach you to rewrite rules, given that she didn’t even choose a toned shade, but a very bright one. That’s a colour you don’t want to miss for the next party you attend.
Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad: This Bollywood star and an amazing surprise in ABC’s Quantico was a vision for sore eyes. Chopra chose to go all white in a stunning Zuhair Murad strapless gown and was all smiles at the red carpet. She couldn’t probably get enough of those diamond rings and teardrop earrings, which looked ravishing on her. For a debut appearance, she literally owned every move she made.
Cate Blanchett in Armani Privé: Mermaid styles can never go off the red carpet for sure, but Cate Blanchett was another level at Oscars 2016! The pretty lady chose a blue Armani Privé, which was impossible to ignore. The floral elements worked big time, and she kept rest of the look in a sort of muted way, just to draw more attention to that amazing gown. This is one choice that’s bold but doesn’t fail to stun.
Brie Larson in Gucci: Seen in Gucci by Alessandro Michele, the Best Actress winner Brie Larson was a real red carpet joy. From the sleek hairdo, to the amazing jewellery, she ensured that everything about that blue gown was bang-on. If there has to be one dress that was favourite of almost every list, this is the one. That smile just makes it even better, and we look ahead to her choices in the future.
Margot Robbie in Tom Ford: Do you know what it means to own the Oscar in a different way? Well, Margot Robbie gave the perfect answer in a sequin Tom Ford gown that almost replicated the prestigious trophy. Honestly, this is one of the rare looks that can go totally wrong, especially when you are unsure of how to carry this one off, but Robbie ensured that she added her own charm to the complete look. This is a major starry affair.
We hope you found this post useful! We also have a separate part on the Oscar’s best dressed and worst dressed celebs coming up, so keep an eye for that! Stay happy and stylish!
