Here Are Your Regular Current Basics for Summer-Spring!
The wait for summer-spring 2017 collections will be long, but it is the apt time to talk of the trends that made the most buzz this season. We have done very special posts on the trends for spring and summer 2016, but here, we will talk of the ideas that will continue for months to come. Basically, these are the essentials that you just cannot miss by any means. Here’s a quick list.
Sliders: Slip-in shoes and mules were one of the major shoe trends for 2016, and this is one idea that isn’t going anywhere for sure. If you haven’t tried either of these styles, you need to take a shot right away. Slides, especially with platform heels, work wonders when you opt for jumpers, special summer dresses and shorts. You can go for simple one coloured options, or better options include use of fur and embellishments.
Denim skirts: While denim skirts weren’t a complete trend for the runways, a lot of Instagram fashionistas and bloggers have worked with the distress version in a number of ways. For a cool summer look, all you need is a nice distress denim skirt along with a loose top. This is a casual look that can be taken to almost any beach or shopping place. Keep in mind that the denim should be as cool as possible, and you may even add a badge or two.
Jumpsuits: Honestly, jumpsuits look great on taller women, but if you are in 2016, you have to get one, no matter your dimensions. Jumpsuits are great for the cool quotient, and you can find a number of options, including subtle choices. The idea is to ensure the best fun with high heels, flatforms and special platform shoes. You can even choose to wear the statement heels, which were all over the ramp. To add to the benefits, jumpsuits are extremely fun and easy to wear for the hot weather.
Ballet flats: If you don’t own a pair of ballerina flats, you haven’t completed your closet yet. Ballerina shoes are amazing for more than few reasons, including the unparalleled comfort levels. Despite missing the style element of heels, these are flats that work great with skirts, jeans and even formal wear, making them one of the most authentic options for all kinds of occasions and looks. Ballet flats look best when chosen in varied kinds of authentic shades and colours, instead of prints.
Bomber Jackets: Finally, we come down to Bomber Jackets. While we haven’t seen many Bomber Jackets on the runways this year, but the trend has been ongoing for more than a few seasons now. If you are looking for options, go for a bright colourful one that sets the mood for the season, especially in spring and summer shades. A little away from the classic black bomber isn’t a bad idea, at all, and you can wear it even in years to come, especially when you choose a good faux leather choice.
