More of the Best Dressed for 86th Academy Awards – Part 2
While there is no denying that every year the Oscars is a grand show of fashion, and there is a lot more than just films to be celebrated. In the first part, we talked of the best dressed at 86th Academy Awards. This time, we will check the ladies who looked equally ravishing but didn’t make it to the first list of ours.
Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen: When Sandra Bullock walks the red carpet, every eye is on her for sure. The Gravity star, who was nominated for the top honours for her performance, chose to wear an Alexander McQueen gown in a navy colour. The gown had such detailing that she needed nothing except her charm to carry it off. With smoky makeup for the eyes and smartly done waved hair, she was worth millions.
Olivia Wilde in Valentino: Olivia Wilde always has an impeccable style statement, and this time she is no different. She is expecting her first boy with actor Jason Sudeikis in May, but that wasn’t a deterrent for the beautiful actress. Taking the maternity style to the next level, she looked superb in the Valentino gown. Completing the look with clutch and shoes from Jimmy Choo, Wilde made sure she got all the attention in the right way.
Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture: Always a stunner at the red carpet, Charlize Theron looked her best at the 86th Academy Awards. The Dior Haute Couture gown seemed to be just an extension of the little black dress, and the dropping neckline made the outfit even sensuous. She completed the look with 31-carat necklace from Harry Winston and simple hairdo. We love extended mermaid style of the gown for sure!
Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab Couture: Whether it is about her movies or her tryst with mastectomy, she has been bold about everything. For the Oscars, she chose an Elie Saab Couture with extreme detailing, and everyone seemed to love the outfit. Not much is known about the accessories, but she certainly looked her best.
Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein: She looked spectacular in the Calvin Klein dress and seemed to be at ease. The floor-length gown with the straight cut is not something new that we haven’t seen before, but yes, the cap sleeves did manage to grab eyeballs. We wonder how Watts manages to stun every single time.
Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta: There is something infectious about that smile of Jennifer Garner. She chose an Oscar de la Renta gown for the red carpet and totally sizzled in it. The silver coloured gown with the tassels looked right on her, but it was the loose hair and simple makeup that we loved the most. As always, this is a look you want to keep in mind for a long time.
Next time, we will see the not-so-happening looks for the red carpet. After all, there are divas who may have missed the mark, and it’s worthy to see the faults and learn from there.
