More Makeup Runway Ideas from Fall 2017 – Part 2
In our last post, we discussed some of the best runway makeup trends, and since we promised more, we are back with yet another round of ideas. In this post, we will decode the fashion looks on the runways, so that you can find more makeup ideas that fit your personal style. Without much talking, let’s get started!
The high liner: Some girls like it edgy and in style, but they don’t like to go overboard with their makeup ideas. If long lashes or big gothic eyes look extreme, you can try the high liner idea. Basically, instead of drawing the liner close to the lash line, you will create a line on your upper lid, and it doesn’t have to be black all the time. You can go for white, blue or any colour that matches and complements your skin tone, and for a few more ideas, you can check Chanel, Tome and Mugler. Personally, this feels like a smart new way to do the liner, given that you cannot go overboard. The liner can be thin or thick, depending on the rest of the makeup. To be safe, keep rest things to minimal!
Dewy and highlighted: Glowing skin has been trending for many seasons now, but instead of matte, fall 2017 looks were dewier with a touch of highlight. You can get this look with very minimal list of items. Firstly, you need dewy foundation – something that will not highlight the dry patches. You can also try an illuminating foundation or mix a cream illuminator with regular base makeup – the choice is yours. The rest of the face will be minimal, with a MLBB shade and a little more contouring. It’s fresh to see looks that are not matte per se. You can check Thakoon, Christopher Kane and Burberry for a few ideas.
Bold lip shades: There’s nothing like having amazing bold shades for the lips, and this fall, it will about pigment and extreme colours. From pinks and reds to purples, wine and berry shades, there is something for everyone. You will find quite a few ideas from Gucci, Jason Wu, Preen, Valentino, La Perla, H&M Studio, and Balmain. With bold lips, you have to minimize some of the elements, including the eye makeup. Contouring and highlights can help in adding more structure to the face, but the use of colours should be limited for the best effect.
Defining the smoky eye again: The smoky eye look will never go out of trend, but designers and makeup artist continue to revisit it in many ways. The new smoky eye is all about graphic and more unique looks, where there are no fixed lines of transition. From little colour on the outer corner to use of dark and thick liner, there is something for everyone, depending on their choices. You can even smudge your eye makeup to create a more appealing look without too many colours.
