Guest Post by Susan Bodack

Spring-Summer 2013 is finally upon us, which means we’re one step closer to swimwear season!  With every new season comes a brand new set of trends, and this year is sure to be one of the hottest yet.  Since the annual Miami Swim Show, we’ve been counting down the days ’til swim season and now that it’s finally here, I’m happy to fill you in on the top three swimwear trends for the 2013 season.

This year’s Pantone Color of the Year is none other than Emerald!  This gorgeous green hue is making its way into the hottest collections in both the fashion and swim fashion worlds.  Whether you’re into itty bitty bikinis or figure-flattering one-piece styles, this swimwear trend is a must for the 2013 season.

Bustiers & Crops

If you’re into styles that easily translate from the beach to the streets, this swimwear trend is for you!  Bustier inspired tops and trapeze style tops are a huge trend this season and they are perfect for all the practical fashionistas out there.  Not only can these swim tops be worn in the water, but they also look great paired up with a maxi skirt or your favorite pair of denim cutoffs!

Sexy Back

Finally, this last swimwear trend is all business in the front and a real party in the back!  The “sexy back” swimwear trend is perfect for all the gals who love to show off those hard-earned buns of steel.  Think sexy cheeky cut bottoms, intricate crochet and macrame back detailing, stringy strappy back tops and more.  This swim trend will definitely have those heads turning left and right! Which swimwear trend do you love this season?  Whichever style floats your boat, spring and summer 2013 is shaping up to be one of the hottest to date!
