First Quick Roundup for Spring 2015 Accessories!
Are we over with fall accessories yet? Probably no! However, the spring accessories for 2015 have already made their mark. In our exclusive series on spring 2015 accessories, we check on what is hot on the ramp with the practical things that you should consider buying. Here’s our first post on Spring 2015 fashion, with a complete guide on how to style fun and feminine the coming season.
The love for cross body bags continues: Honestly, we have had an overdose of cross body bags in the last few years, but nothing stops them to come back. We checked Mark Jacobs among others, and what we found are designs that are not extremely high on neon this time, but more on the subtle side. The colour, shade, and design- everything is what you need for your daily life. We also some cross body designs at The Row, which were way different, but one thing is for sure- you need one of these bags like right now.
Stay bejewelled with colourful choices: This is one trend we have picked up from Ralph Lauren, although we want to see more of these designs. The idea is to go jewelled in colours. It may seem over the top for some occasions, but probably for those special parties and events, you would probably want to keep this style going.
More of the graphic studs: For most parts, we loved the designs we saw at Proenza Schouler, both in clothing and accessories, but what caught our eye was the studs. The old style studs went oversized in the shape and the design came straight from some sort of graphic imagination. Surely, this is not something you would otherwise pick, barring this brand that makes the entire look so cool and effortless.
Oversized stone jewellery for chic styling: This is what we saw at Narciso Rodriguez, where the neckpiece went all large with large scale stone sans any definitive cut, which made it even more precious. This is the first time that the designer has collaborated with Philip Crangi, and therefore, surprises were bound to come. We love the way accessory works for the model on the ramp, but honestly this is such a graceful piece that you can team with any dress or defined top. Ideally, the branded item does have its own presence, but probably craft your own.
Get more with the hats: If you have got the chance to check what Gigi Burris has to offer for the spring, you will love this over trim sized hat in their collection. The design is effective, but what makes it stand out is the use of ribbon in a very nice style, which certainly adds to the feminine side. Of course, you have the choice to experiment with colours, but the natural element in the Gigi Burris hat is certainly way more appealing with the contrasting black ribbon.
Start your spring shopping with a bang, because there is a lot more to come on the shelves, and we are here to guide.
