Fashion Trends for Summer 2015 to Keep you in Style
For most women, summer brings excitement as this is one season in which a lot of fashion trends are released. You do not need to limit yourself to woollen and fur and can experiment with a diversity of apparels and fabrics. After intimately analysing the fashion trends that were exhibited in all of the recent summer fashion shows, we have listed the top four favourites exclusively for you.
Go Global with Japanese Motifs: One of the newest summer trends this season is inspired from the Japanese fashion. In the show by Alexander McQueen, we observed kimono cuts and unique forms like rounded shoulders, which were worn with captivating colour combinations. Missoni added his own dimension to this trend by pairing the kimono-inspired designs with transparency touches and attractive overtone plays of the same color. If we talk about the outerwear pieces inspired by the Japanese, the first show that comes to mind is by Temperley London in which silhouettes were matched with unique micro patterns and harmonious colour combinations. Also, Karen Walker came up with a number to tops with kimono cut sleeves. Well, there is globalisation in fashion trends too!
Dress in style with Pleated Designs: Considering the numerous number of shows that had pleats as an innovative design, this sure is the next big thing in the world of fashion. Attractive miniskirts at Topshop Unique combined definitive shapes and colours with bold solutions. At Barbara Casasola, a trick was pulled off well by combining matte and shimmery textures with really catchy texture and silhouette plays. The next interesting match is the bold splits with pleated designs as showcased by Hermes and choosing hues like khaki as the main detail for the skirts.
Flaunt Feminism with Cropped Tops: Cropped tops and bra tops rarely ever fail to go out of fashion in summers. At the shows of Donna Karan, we saw a white bra top worn with a bright red tea-length skirt. In addition, the other must-mention trends in cropped tops are the strapless floral cropped tops from Matthew Williamson, the creative long sleeved tops from Versace, the glittery looks from Tom Ford, the bright pieces from Fausto Puglisi and the subtle pieces by Rebecca Taylor.
Be Elegant with Lace Dresses: Exquisite laces on various pieces were the star attraction at various famous fashion shows. If we are to list a few of them, Valentino’s colourful and cute laser cut lace patterns, which had a unique combination of abstract patterns and lace have become a style statement. Zuhair Murad added the Bohemian feature to his laces by designing transparency plays with bright coloured yet mostly monochrome pieces. For those of you who prefer keeping it simple and casual, Louis Vuitton has his own variety of lace tops for daily wear.
So, the next time you go on a summer shopping spree, do not forget to give this post a second read! Happy summers!
