Fall 2017 Accessory Trend at a Glance – Part 2
In our last post, we talked about some of the biggest accessory trends for fall 2017. Taking the same series ahead, we have some more ideas for our readers. This time, we will try to decode styles that are more practical, and of course, as always, we also have a few tips and ideas for styling everything in the right way.
Move to statement neckpieces: The neckpieces for fall 2017 weren’t particularly big or extremely bright. These were more practical and effective, with very limited elements. Some of these were very spiritual and simplified at the same time, which make them ideal for almost any kind of look. You can wear one to the board room or can add a stylish pendant for the casual fall dress – the choice is yours. We were also intrigued with the number of options spotted in different collections. Everything was different, and yet the minimalism and appeal remained the same. If you thought runway accessories were over the top, it’s time to think otherwise. Some of the designers you need to check for this one include Céline, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, and Lanvin.
Really my bag: Handbags have been given all sorts of shapes and styles over the last few seasons, but fall 2017 was all about structure and basics. These are functional handbags, which should be a part of every woman’s closet. If you are fond of simple and elegant bags that have all the right essentials and doesn’t go over the top with the design, you should check some of these. Such handbags were spotted in the collection of Altuzarra, Balenciaga, Fendi, Gucci, and Sacai, to name a few. The good thing is you will find these structured designs in some of the most popular online stores as well, at much lower prices. As for the colours, it is all about uniqueness and richness, from burgundy, olive, pastel shades and even off white.
Functional boots: In our last post, we had talked about glam boots and shoes and how these ruled the runways with an extra dose of style. Let’s agree that not everyone is fond of daring themes. If you thought that was off limits for you, a better idea is to go for functional boots. These are practical styles that should work across genres and age groups. These boots are meant for the rough weather and season, and you can pair them with a lot of things, including trench coats, denims, coats and overall jumpsuits. Boots like these also work well for different kind of dresses and fall outfits that are dark in terms of themes and ideas. Such styles can be spotted at Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, and Lanvin. For colours, you can stick to the classic blue, black and tan.
Finally, we would like to mention about the statement neckpieces that were intended to highlight the colour bone. These were big, chunky and had a quirky side to them.
