Fall 2016 Trend Checks At London Fashion Week – Part 1

After plenty of talks of spring 2016, we have finally reached the time when we can talk about Fall 2016 trends and styles. The London Fashion Week recently happened amidst a lot of expectations, and if you are someone, who enjoys fall trends for the sheer variety and surprises that come along, this is a series just for you. With this series, we are starting the love for fall, and we will start with London Fashion Week, covering some of the best ideas. Take a look at the cues that work best for you because fashionistas can never get enough of shopping.

Add the necktie

Add the necktie

Add the necktie: One of the major accessorizing for most outfits at London Fashion Week was the neckties and bow inspired neck additions. The idea is to add that slight element of femininity to every formal and informal look. The good thing is the fact that you don’t need huge investment for this one, especially if you are not opting for a complete ensemble outfit. Just take your silk scarf and add that little bow around the neck for the easy transition. In terms of colours, black should be the ideal take from the runways, but this trend allows you to experiment, so don’t miss trying new shades. Some of the designers worth checking for this one include Temperley, Osman, Simone Rocha and Preen. For the fall, this is a easy idea worth owing.

Get quilted

Get quilted: We all have been hearing how the winters are getting tough, and it seems the fashion industry is taking note! For fall 2016, you will see a lot of heavy and quilted designs for outerwear, which will surely transform the look to the next level. No wonder, designers want to show off their hard work in style, so the models were given very unique looks, without trying to add too many details. If you stay in cold parts of the world, this is a very practical idea worth spending on. However, just because you cannot show your curves it doesn’t mean that you cannot get stylish. Check a few names like Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane and Felder Felder for the right designs.

Blacked out

Blacked out: This is our favourite for the season! Most shows in London Fashion Week had a lot of black, but unlike the classic dresses we know, the designs were meant to cover. So the hemlines were almost hugging the floor, and the sleeves were meant to be long enough. This is also a trend that demands a designer touch, so if you have been thinking of investing in something this season, a black outfit from a top designer would be just perfect. To make things more feminine and effective, designers have used materials and fabrics like velvet and lace, which simply add to the style. For ideas, check designers like Erdem, Daks and Roksanda among others.

Hope you loved this post, and we have second part of the series waiting just for you. Keep an eye on this space for more!
