The Best Trends From 2017 Resort Collections Are Here!
It’s never too early to think of the trends for next year, and if you look around, you will find quite a few ideas. Much ahead of the spring 2017 collections, it is time to check the Resort Collections. We tried digging in the shows to find a few hints for the next year. This is going to be a special post on the trends from Resort Collections, along with a few ideas and tips on how you can start shopping for next year right now!
Floral is back: It has been a while that we have seen floral ideas for spring. In 2015, it was all about the ginghams and checks while 2016 spring had pastel shades, stripes and ruffles. Come 2017, you are likely to see a lot of floral prints. It was quite a refreshing change to see a lot of graphic, big and small flowery ideas in Resort Collections, which probably does give a quick hint for the spring. No matter what, floral prints are always worth investing, given that you will never go out of vogue. Ideally, invest in one dress with micro flowers while the big ones should also get equal attention.
More drama: Much like this year, there was quite a bit of drama in Resort Collections. From wide legged pants and palazzos to even more amazing use of ruffles and peplums, there was everything required for some extra attention. Clearly, 2017 isn’t going to be big about subtlety, and we will see more relaxed ideas for an instant connection. Honestly, this one trend overshadows everything in Resort Collections, and we totally recommend that you do a rehash of your closet this season. If you want to play it safe, you can simply choose a pair of wide legged pants along with a peplum top, which was quite in style in 2014.
Sugar love: The best and most used colour of Resort Collections was pink. Yes, you heard it right! Pink in more softer and baby like colours remained the top choice of most designers, and we cannot have enough of it. What’s even more interesting is the use of many accessories and amazing mix of unique colours like yellow. It was rather very surprising to see yellow and pink mixes in some collections while others worked with accessories to create a more dramatic yet feminine look. We cannot have enough for sure.
Finally, there were stripes, much like spring 2016. Stripes were more nautical in Resort Collections, with more colours in use. Instead of broad spring stripes, these were more on the leaner side. If you have been thinking of investing in a striped dress or shirt, probably you shouldn’t wait anymore, given that the trend will make a comeback next year. Check the online stores, and with spring 2016 trends around the corner, you might find a few options.
Hope this post made some sense for you, and if you like what you just read, don’t miss on coming back for more!
