Best Dressed at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) 2015
Last weekend wasn’t about the Grammys alone, but the British Academy Film Awards 2015 happened at the London’s Royal Opera House, and the red carpet looks had us drooling. Here’s a take on the best dressed ladies of the red carpet at the BAFTA event 2015.
Amy Adams in Stella McCartne: Stella McCartney is one designer, who knows the red carpet look in a minimal way, and Amy Adams chose a column dress from the designer with stunning embellishments. The all white down seemed like a fresh feel, and the American Hustle star kept it simple enough for anyone to fall in love. Check the straight hairdo and classic eye makeup that takes the style to a new level.
Keira Knightley in Giambattista Valli Couture: The 29-year old Keira Knightley was looking all high as she walked the red carpet in a stunning floral motif gown from Giambattista Valli Couture. We all know she is expecting, and that surely adds to the glow, we cannot help but notice the nice makeup and simply hairdo that only made her look more gorgeous. This is easily among the best red carpet looks we have seen this year.
Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney: It is not merely Amy Adams who chose Stella McCartney, but Reese too opted for one gown from the designer in a monochromatic look of purple, baring the cold wave. We are fan of the gown, and hats off to the actress for keeping the look simple and effective.
Julianne Moore in Tom Ford: If there has to be one look that is red carpet cool, it has to be the one from Julianne Moore. The pretty actress knows to get the style right in almost anything, and the Tom Ford gown was quite a dare. The plunging neckline till the navel was like a new found love on the red carpet, and that smile makes Moore only more likeable. For us, this is the top look for the BAFTAs this year.
Kristin Scott Thomas in Balmain Haute Couture: The black gown from Balmain haute couture looked so stunning on Kristin Scott Thomas that we just couldn’t take the eyes off. While there is nothing very extraordinary about the gown itself, the winning looks comes from the right hairdo, amazing choice of jewellery and that impeccable style statement that’s signature to her.
Rosamund Pike in Roland Mouret Gown: With Gone Girl getting big nominations this year, Rosamund Pike is surely on the clouds. At the BAFTAs this year, she chose to wear a stunning Roland Mouret gown. The black gown isn’t something that can be called extraordinary, but Pike managed to wow us with the look, thanks to nice jewellery, statement hairdo and great makeup blended for a minimal but cool styled appeal. Let’s not miss that she became a mother just two months back!
In the next part, we will find the worst dressed for the BAFTAs, and check the stars that just jinxed up the look at the red carpet.
