6 Things You Should Never Wear as a Wedding Guest!
Who doesn’t love weddings? This is the only time you can dress up in that cute dress which has been hanging in your wardrobe for a long time. But there are some no-no’s when it comes to dressing up for a wedding. When you are attending someone else’s wedding, and you aren’t the bridesmaid, you should be careful about what you wear. Here are SIX things, which are not meant for weddings at all!
That perfect white dress : If you have the perfect white dress in your collection, save it for a date and not someone else’s wedding. You should never wear a white dress to a wedding. You don’t want to be that girl who tried to ruin the bride’s mood by putting on a white dress. Keep it for any other event but not a wedding.
Skimpy dresses: A deep plunge neckline with thigh high slits is a big dud at a wedding. You should never look too revealing at a wedding unless there is a weird theme or something like that. Keep all these outfits for a sexy night out or a party night with your girls. Avoid wearing anything that shows too much skin. Also, sometimes body hugging clothes do not look good at weddings.
Out of the box – Everyone loves being noticed and looking the best at an event, but every wedding has a theme. If you go way beyond the dress code, you can end up looking a little crazy at the ceremony. We know you have a fierce short dress, but if it doesn’t fit with the dress code, pick something else. You can always use this dress later!
Lots and lots of leather – Leather is meant for a casual day out, an adventurous date or a party night. If you are planning to wear a leather dress or boots or jacket to a wedding, you better run out to get something new. A wedding is a formal event, and you should avoid leather as it will make you look too casual. It will surely make you stand out of the crowd but not in a good way. So throw those leather clothing pieces back into the wardrobe.
Chunky loud jewellery – Loud noisy bangles and chunky neckpieces in a church? Ugh! A simple dress with good pumps is all you need for your attire. Try avoiding too many bangles or neckpieces. If you do want to wear bangles, wear a single piece and not a set. You don’t want to make lots of noise every time you clap or move your hands. Another tip is to skip on Bohemian accessories. They look great with most outfits, but they don’t work at weddings at all.
Ditch the casual – You might not like dressing up a lot, but you can always wear a simple and cute dress to a wedding. Don’t be the boring casual girl in the corner instead be the elegant, simple girl at the wedding.
Follow these tips to ace your attire at a wedding and prevent any outfit disasters.
